New Year at Iban's Long House Sarawak

I was lucky to study in Sabah. Although at first somewhat reluctant to come here, but now it becomes common and i am enjoying myself leaving here. Since being here, I learned a lot of things that did not matter in term of foods, languanges, way of life and and other kinda of things. I found a lot of interesting stuff and unique things in this land of Borneo Island.

In this post, I want to share about the uniqueness of the community of Iban ethnic in the Sg. Strass Longhouse celebrate the new years. Here, i share with all of u some pictures that I got from my coursemate miss Janet Nicole Handcock.

Cuba teka Ikan apa ni.. aku teka ikan keli

Inilah rumah panjang tu..

Ikan ni bertelur ek?

Telur ikan beribu-ribu lemaon

Miss Janet cakap ini ikan tapah..jadi tekaan saya salah

Tak cukup bawa naik jip nak kena mandikan lagi.

Apa pulak yang kat dalam besen ni?

sakit oii.. tindih-tindih aku dahla ko tu besar!

So, sekarang saya nak cakap melayu pulak..huhu. Macam mana besar kan ikan2 ni. Tak pernah lagi saya nampak ikan yang besar macam ni. Dahla mula-mula ingatkan ikan keli gergasi, rupanya cIk janet cakap ikan tapah, erm...
